AKRON, Ohio – FedEx Custom Critical, North
America’s largest time-specific, critical-shipment carrier, has
appointed Fred Snippe managing director of FedEx Custom Critical Europe,
which is headquartered in Beek, The Netherlands.
As managing director, Snippe is responsible for all aspects of FedEx
Custom Critical Europe, which provides surface expedite, air charter and
special care-in-handling shipping services throughout Western Europe.
Snippe, who joined the company in 1990, most recently served as
Europe operations manager, responsible for customer service, recruiting
and contractor relations.
“Fred is an outstanding leader. Under his direction as operations
manager, FedEx Custom Critical Europe has achieved excellent customer
satisfaction and on-time service records, even as it has expanded into
additional countries,” said Brendan O’Sullivan, FedEx Custom
Critical vice president, finance, treasurer and chief financial officer.
“Fred also oversaw the creation of the company’s multilingual call
center in Beek, a unique service in Western Europe’s expedited
transportation industry.”
Prior to joining FedEx Custom Critical, Snippe served in various
logistics functions at Volvo, Dupont and Ewals. Licensed to run a
transport company, Snippe is also certified in Hazmat road and air and
as a radioactive trainer.

services within Europe and throughout the U.S. and Canada. Among its
