Shipping Documents Now Available Online at FedEx Custom Critical Web Site

For Immediate Release: Aug. 2, 2001

AKRON, Ohio FedEx Custom Critical, Inc., North America’s largest time-specific, critical-shipment carrier, has enhanced its Web site (www.fedexcustomcritical.com) with a new application that will enable customers to view and print out copies of a shipment’s bill of lading, proof of delivery and invoice.

The online shipping documents are part of the Web site’s Shipping Toolkit. Customers who register to use the Shipping Toolkit can view and print out copies of a shipment’s bill of lading, proof of delivery and invoice.

Online document availability offers convenience and choice for customers looking to obtain information about their shipments. “Online shipping documents give our customers 24-hour, seven-day-a-week access to their shipment information,” says Accounts Receivable Manager Bob Rocco. “Online availability also provides a new source from which to obtain shipment information, for those customers who prefer a few mouse clicks to a telephone call.”

In addition to the online documents, the Shipping Toolkit also enables customers to get instant rate quotes by entering the zip/postal codes of the shipment’s origin and destination, as well as map and track current shipments from pickup to delivery.

FedEx Custom Critical provides exclusive-use, time-specific shipment services throughout the U.S. and Canada and within Europe. Among its divisions are Surface Expedite, for non-stop, door-to-door transport of critical shipments; White Glove Services®, for shipments that require special care in handling; and CharterAir®, which offers an array of expedited air solutions to meet customers’ critical delivery times.
